Tenino High School

Welcome to THS

At Tenino High School, you will find a thriving high school that provides your student many different educational opportunities. Tenino High School offers the same opportunities as other schools but in a small school environment, which means your student will have a more meaningful experience than at a school of over 1,000 students.

Our focus at Tenino High School is your student. Each day, our dedicated staff is working our best to provide your student the best education we can. At Tenino High School, our teachers go above and beyond to ensure your student achieves academic success. Our classified staff gets to know each student so they can make each day for your student the best it can be.

We are proud to offer 5 AP and honors courses. Our athletics program is comprehensive, as we offer our students opportunities to compete in 13 varsity sports. The Tenino FFA program is nationally recognized, our band is a state-recognized program, and our choir is also a state-recognized program. Tenino High School is truly an outstanding school, and we look forward to sharing our school with you.

Our Principal's Message

Parents and Guardians,

The leaves are changing color, and fall is here!  We have just passed the midpoint in our first trimester, and we mailed out midterm grade reports on Saturday, October 29. The first trimester ends on December 2. If you have a concern about your student’s grade(s), please contact your student's teachers.

Fall conferences are right around the corner. Please use this time to meet with your student’s teachers. All teachers are available during fall conferences on November 7, 8, and 9. Teacher conference times run from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on November 7, 8, and 9 and also from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on November 9. Our fall conferences are called arena style. This means that all teachers are sitting at tables in the commons. Families can move about to each teacher. There is no need to schedule an appointment for our fall conferences. Occasionally, there is some wait time if a teacher is meeting with a family. Also, on November 7, 8, 9, and 10 we will run an early dismissal schedule. We will dismiss students at 11:50 a.m. We will serve school lunch.

Fall sports are winding down, and our winter sports season begins with tryouts on November 14.

Below is a reminder about early dismissal and non-school dates in November:

  • November 7-10: Fall Conferences: Early Dismissal at 11:50 a.m.
  • November 11: Veteran’s Day: Non School Day
  • November 23: Early Dismissal at 11:50 a.m.
  • November 24, 25: Thanksgiving Vacation: Non School Days
